Destiny AI Astrology ("Destiny," "we," "us," "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your data when you use our mobile applications, website, and astrology features that use artificial intelligence to generate personalized insights and responses.
This Privacy Policy applies globally. Depending on where you reside, additional rights and disclosures apply (see Sections 12, 13, and 14 for California, EU/UK, and India-specific provisions).

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and India, Destiny AI Astrology is the data controller (or, under the India Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the data fiduciary) responsible for your Personal Information.
For Personal Information processed by our third-party service providers on our behalf (such as cloud hosting, analytics, and AI inference providers), those providers act as data processors (or, under DPDPA, data processors). They are contractually required to process Personal Information only on our instructions.
When you create an account or use Destiny, we may collect:
Sensitivity Notice: The combination of date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth is highly identifying. Combined with the substance of questions you submit (which may touch on relationships, health, finances, or beliefs), this data is treated as Sensitive Personal Information under applicable law. We apply heightened protections accordingly.
Depending on your subscription tier or purchase, you may create and manage multiple profiles within your account, including profiles of yourself, friends, or family members. For each profile, you may also add one or more partner profiles for the purpose of Destiny Matching™ and compatibility analysis.
By creating or managing profiles or partner profiles for other individuals, you represent and confirm that you have the lawful authority and necessary permission to provide their personal information for these purposes. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for any information you submit about other individuals, including ensuring that such information is shared in compliance with applicable data protection and privacy laws.
We store your questions and AI-generated responses in order to:
Your Conversation History Controls. You have control over your conversation history directly within the app:
Please note that even when history is deleted or turned off, we may retain certain minimal data or soft-delete records for a limited period (typically up to 90 days) for security, audit, fraud prevention, or legal compliance purposes. This retained data is not used to surface your history within the app and is subject to restricted internal access.
Your conversation data is not used to train AI models. See Section 5 for details on how AI providers handle this data.
We collect analytics data to understand how Destiny is used and to improve performance, reliability, and user experience. Analytics data may include device information, app usage patterns, feature interaction events, and crash diagnostics.
We determine your location based on your IP address at the time of access. If your location cannot be determined or is ambiguous, we default to the more privacy-protective option (opt-in).
When you opt out (or do not provide consent), we will stop collecting non-essential analytics. Essential service data necessary to operate the Services may continue to be processed under our legitimate interests or contractual necessity (see Section 7).
We do not store your payment card or banking information. Payments are processed by trusted third-party providers:

Destiny uses third-party artificial intelligence services to generate responses and astrological insights. We work with established commercial AI infrastructure providers and AI model providers, primarily operating in the United States.

We periodically review our AI providers to ensure they meet our security, privacy, and quality standards. Our AI providers maintain their own privacy and trust documentation, available on their respective websites.
We do not sell your Personal Information. We do not share your Personal Information with third parties for their independent marketing or advertising purposes.
We share limited Personal Information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate Destiny. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only to provide services on our behalf. The categories of service providers we use include:

For Sensitive Personal Information processed for astrology features (such as questions touching on health, beliefs, or relationships), we rely on your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 9(2)(a)). You may withdraw consent at any time, though this may limit your ability to use certain features.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, you may object to processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will assess your objection and stop processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.
Destiny operates globally. Your Personal Information may be transferred to, and processed in, countries other than the country in which you reside, including the United States and India. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.
When we transfer Personal Information internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards:

While no system is completely secure, we take appropriate steps to protect your data responsibly.
Breach Notification. In the event of a Personal Information breach that creates a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected users and, where required, the relevant supervisory authority. Notifications to EU/UK supervisory authorities will be made within 72 hours where required by GDPR Article 33. Notifications to users will be made without undue delay where required by applicable law.
We retain Personal Information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Specific retention periods include:

Account Deletion. You may delete your account at any time through the app. Upon deletion, we will remove active account data from our primary systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days, subject to the exceptions above.
Subscription Cancellation Reminder. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel any active subscription. You are responsible for canceling your subscription separately before deleting your account. For mobile app subscriptions, cancellations are managed through Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) directly. Destiny AI Astrology is not responsible for any charges that continue to accrue on an active subscription following account deletion.

Verification. To protect your data, we may need to verify your identity before responding to a rights request. We will not require more information than is reasonably necessary for verification.
Authorized Agents. Where permitted by law, you may use an authorized agent to submit a rights request on your behalf. We may require proof of authorization.

If and when required under GDPR Article 27, Destiny AI Astrology will designate an EU representative and update this Privacy Policy with their contact information. The Services use automated processing, including AI-generated insights, to provide personalized responses. These outputs are informational and do not produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. You retain full discretion over decisions you make. This section applies to users located in India and supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy. We process your Personal Data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDPA").
By providing your Personal Data and using the Services, you consent to our processing of your Personal Data for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Your Personal Data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside India, including the United States. We rely on contractual safeguards to protect your Personal Data during such transfers. We comply with any restrictions on cross-border transfers issued by the Central Government of India.

We will acknowledge your grievance within 7 days and respond substantively within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India under DPDPA.
Destiny does not knowingly process the Personal Data of children under 18 as primary account holders without verifiable parental consent, in accordance with DPDPA. Family profiles for minors are submitted by an adult account holder who confirms they have the necessary authority.
Destiny AI Astrology is intended for users 13 years of age and older. Primary accounts are subject to minimum age requirements as set out in our Terms of Service.
Account holders may create profiles for family members, including children, for the purpose of generating horoscope readings and birth chart analysis on their behalf. By creating such profiles, the account holder takes on full responsibility for the information submitted and confirms that they have the appropriate authority to share that information, in compliance with applicable child privacy laws (including COPPA in the United States, GDPR-K in the EU/UK, and DPDPA in India).
Conversations and readings generated for family profiles are stored within the account holder's account in the same manner as their own data. The same history controls apply, including the ability to delete history or turn off history storage from Settings.
We do not knowingly collect Personal Information directly from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
Age eligibility requirements for primary accounts and for Destiny Matching™ are detailed in our Terms of Service.
We may send you transactional and service emails relating to your account, subscriptions, and security. These communications are necessary to operate the Services and cannot be opted out of while you maintain an active account.
If we send marketing communications (such as product announcements or feature updates), we will do so only with your consent where required by law. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email or by contacting support@destinyastrology.com.
We do not currently use your Personal Information, conversations, or AI-generated outputs to train AI models. If we introduce the use of any user data (anonymized, aggregated, or otherwise) for system or model improvement in the future, we will:
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the Services evolve. For non-material changes, we will post the updated policy and revise the "Last Updated" date.
For material changes (including changes to the categories of Personal Information we collect, the purposes of processing, or the third parties with whom we share data), we will provide notice through the Services or by email at least thirty (30) days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy, except where additional consent is required by applicable law.
